    Looking for Kevin Quine
I hope you can help me contact Kevin Quine please, he's a Thames local who I met in the South Island in February with his best friend Annette.
He invited me to look him up if I was in the area doing one of the great walks and I've lost the details. Thanks so much :)

  • THE BUDDHA IN THE COMPOST HEAP

Behold this compost! behold it well!
    What chemistry!
It grows such sweet things out of such corruptions...
    - Walt Whitman

How can making compost or meditating help change the world, and what do they have to do with each other?

The fallow winter months provide time to enrich our soils and our minds with these complementary arts.

Drawing on the dharmic metaphor of transformation, we will delve into the pungent, earthly riches of carbon & nitrogen, manure & roadkill.

Get warm by day in active, hands-on compost making sessions. And stay cosy during meditations in the small shrine room and nights by the fire.

No experience needed, just an open mind, reasonable fitness and a willingness to get your hands dirty.

Led by Thames folk and permaculture practitioners Lisa Kelly and Akasamati - of the Triratna Buddhist Order.
